TEKARRA LODGE WEDDING, JASPER

We met for drinks on a warm summer evening, the kind that begs to be enjoyed. It was our first meeting, though it felt as if we’d known each other for years…comfortable conversation, an instant connection. It was their smiles, and their infectious happiness that called to me. And how they looked at each other. I couldn’t help but think that *this* is how you should look at your love. It wasn’t long until their wedding, but my excitement level was already peeking.
 

 

IT HAD TO BE JASPER

 
They chose a mountain setting for their wedding because it spoke to who they are. Jasper has played host to some of their most memorable moments together, naturally they would be married there too. Which fits well with my feelings – Jasper truly is one of my favourite places on the planet. And it was their flasks of whiskey and cider that kept them warm through the chilly October rain. Nothing could dampen their smiles though. And if I had to choose a favourite moment, it would be the calm when the rain quieted down, with the laughter set to high, enjoying our solitude with the trees and lakes and rocks.
 
Lindsay told me they were not a dancing crowd, well, not until after 1am. They celebrated their night amongst friends and family, bringing in ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen. Tekerra Lodge was a wonderful host for the ceremony and evening festivities. But once the lights started going out around the resort, the late night crew continued the party by jumping on a bus and heading to the Jasper Brewing Company, rounding out the evening in the pub. A wonderful finish, local brews raised in cheer.
