DRIVE-IN THEMED ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS, EDMONTON

ASHLEY AND STEVE | 1960'S DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEMED ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SESSION

Sometimes the stars just align. Ashley and Steve were talking, and it became clear that they had some interesting elements working in their favour. For one, Steve had a 60’s Duster that he had lovingly restored and wanted to include in the photos if possible. He also just happened to be part of a car club called the Boulevard Bruisers. Now, this was more a group of their friends who also had some pretty fantastic old cars. But instantly the thought was to see about recreating a old school Drive-in Movie theatre shoot!

The problem? Well, there aren’t any left (or, at least, there wasn’t when we shot this). So, with a bit of location scouting, we were able to find a spot that looked the part, and I created a homemade screen to project some images onto. Now, in the spirit of honesty – I had to photoshop the projection onto the screen, but the clothing, the cars, the models…all that was real! This was so much fun to be a part of – hope you like the images.
