FORT EDMONTON PARK WEDDING, EDMONTON
I’ve said this before, but I love being a part of weddings where the bride and groom are all about having fun. And that is part of what made Miquela and Jason’s wedding so amazing. We had a lot of fun, and the party was grand, running late into the night with everyone up dancing and laughing and generally letting loose. But there is something I find even more important than this ability to relax…it’s to disconnect and be present – to be genuine. Be yourself, enjoy fully the company of your friends and family, and hopefully we can also avoid looking at the photos as a chore, but rather make it a fun and relaxing part of the wedding day. People say that’s something I’m pretty good at – making people feel comfortable enough that we can capture some great, candid moments. Well, with Miquela and Jason, it was like we were long lost friends from the first moment we met, so getting them to relax was not a problem in the least. It was a beautiful day from start to finish, and I’m so happy to have been there to share it with them.
The ceremony was held outdoors at the Chateau Louis Hotel and Conference centre, while the reception took place at the Blatchford Air Hangar at Fort Edmonton Park. It proved to be the perfect setting for this summer wedding in Edmonton.
